Offering a massive selection of shows, the festival is run over 24 days and nights in February and March of every year. With hundreds of cabaret, comedy, dance, theatre, music, and visual arts events, artists squeeze shows into every nook and cranny around town creating a wonderful collection of weird and eccentric venues.
Highlights of the event include a huge opening night party, parade and concert, street theatre, the Garden of Unearthly Delights and Fringe Family Weekend.
Adelaide Fringe is a unique experience for interstate and overseas visitors who travel to Adelaide to enjoy the festival’s exciting arts performances and party atmosphere. 18% percent of the Fringe’s 1,004,440 audience members are visitors to the city.[2]
As an open-access festival, anyone can perform or apply, and artists pay a one-off registration fee to the Fringe as well as pay the presentation costs of their performance/ season/ event/ exhibition.
